Session info

Newborn session

Please get in touch and book the session as soon as possible (usually my clients book the session after their second scan). The best time for a newborn photoshoot is when they are as young as possible as they are still very small and sleepy and  more likely to be able to achieve the poses you see on my website.  Between 3-10 days is the best though the youngest I ever had was as young as 2 days old. I have photographed newborns up to the age of 4 weeks however they are more alert and less sleepy which makes positioning for poses much more difficult.

Newborn session are not rushed, I will only take  one session per day. Please allow 3-4 hours per session (sometime longer, depends on the baby) with breaks for feeding, soothing to sleep and cleaning up messes. Also, patience and care allows for a better variety of pictures for parents to view and choose.

Most of newborn photos are posed undressed but prop clothing maybe used. All poses will  be discussed and agreed with parents before the undertaking the session and tailored to their requirements. I am a very easy person to work with so please feel free to ask questions if you have any concerns.

All newborn poses are done safely and with particular care for the comfort of the baby, using composite images where necessary with  editing in photoshop.I always have a spotter nearby and never force a pose.
